Self Control List Poem

 Self control is the girl that snaps your bra

Self control is the ice cube that melts your tooth

Self control is the parakeet that will never forget you 

Self control is the Mercedes Benz that owns and texts you all the time

Self control is the dyslexic gum that shouts MUG when things are quiet

Self control is the bronze fish statue that fries you up

Self control is a space ship you frivolously bought but don’t know how to drive

Self control is the bag of nuts you want to eat but your best friend just bought it and gave it to his girl

Self control is a crane in the distance dangling your soul from a chain

Self control is that phlegm in the back of your throat named glottal

Self control is the 2nd to last exit to Kansas City via Hong Kong

Self control is a draw bridge that snapped after the paper clip fell out

Every day I drive by the Fun House Pizza

there is a
sign saying
“See you in heaven Audrey”
& now
I’m certain
She is a
Carnival saint
Sprinkling the
Good times
Right on down
Into our hungry brains
Like
Magic
Parmesan cheese.
